Born in 1971 in Birmingham, England. After studying at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, Helen Beard worked in the film industry during fifteen years.

Her work lies between abstraction and representation, with movement and fields of colour in a celebration of the erotic experience. She works in various disciplines such as paint, collage, tapestries, sculptures and also limited editions.

The artist explores themes related to gender, sexual psychology and eroticism. She aims to emphasise the importance of sexual inclusivity by portraying the diversity of sexuality giving attention to experiences often censored.

Helen Beard lives and works in Brighton, England.
