Peter Doig
Born in Edinburgh in 1959, Peter Doig developed a distinctively figurative visual language. His paintings illustrate an enigmatic aura and refer most often to personal memories from his childhood in Canada, generally representing people in nameless landscapes.
Peter Doig also worked as a printmaker and explored a large range of printmaking techniques such as etching, drypoint or aquating.
He lives and works in Trinidad, London and New York.
